"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music."

Take a "Vocal" Role in Children's Musical Education!

Don't let recent arts cutbacks deprive children of musical expriences. There are many ways to give of your time and ensure that.. for every child, there is a time to sing! Click on the following headings for more information.

Become a MFMII Music Docent! The heart of the MFMII program is our docent volunteers.  Docents love what they do and always receive much more than they give. Sharing their love of music with children in their caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic way, captivates children and fully engages them in making music.  Click here to learn how you can make that musical difference in a child’s life and your own, by becoming a docent

Be a Liaison: Contact persons are needed at our school sites called liaisons. They provide the communication link between MFMII and the schools we serve. They attend only 2 meetings a year (fall and spring) and help promote the MFMII program at the school sites. No musical ability required but just a commitment to the MFMII mission.

Be a Resource Center Helper.Volunteers are needed to help maintain and inventory our resource centers. This is a great way to help Out "Behind the Scenes." You don't have be musical or take a training class for this important position.

Be an Event Volunteer: Another opportunity for supporting MFMII is to join us in our event planning and/or implementation.  Volunteers are needed on committees or at the actual events such as ushering, setting up decorations, ticket taking, attending our booths, etc.

Join our Board of Directors: The MFMII Board of Directors consists of community volunteers who support the MFMII mission and oversee the program and determine policy that enables the organization to fulfill its mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  Board members are committed to keeping a song in children’s hearts and in the schools.
